HI, FRIEND!

San Francisco Country Club Wedding | Raleigh Wedding Photographer

Nov 8, 2021

I’ve been very excited about Lane & Richard’s wedding day since the first conversation I had with them. These two are kind and the type of people who make you feel like you’ve been friends with them forever, even when you’ve only just met them. They are passionate about spending quality time with their people, especially their families—what a joy to be a part of a weekend filled with celebrating their love.

These two welcomed their friends and family to San Fransisco with a fun and vibrant welcome party. I wish welcome parties were popular when Wayne and I got married. A welcome party creates space for couples to spend time with their guests without the demands and restrictions of the wedding day timeline. Another bonus is the toasts! Friends and family members toasted the happy couple throughout the evening. I learned so much about Lane and Richard and the love they share, as their entire bridal party recalled memories and moments with the couple.

The wedding day was packed with thoughtful details that represented them and the love they share. Lane’s ring box was something borrowed (and blue) from her sister’s wedding, and it worked perfectly as they both have the same initial. The invitation liners matched the hand-lettered, custom crest, and it complimented the luscious florals designed by Event Bliss. The crest design continued through the napkin linens for the reception tables, which were perfectly placed on top of a gold beaded charger. Richard’s cufflinks and shirt nails were a family heirloom worn by his grandfather. Lane’s bracelet was also a family heirloom passed down to her from her grandmother.

Family is really important to Lane & Richard. The love they have for their families stood out to me during their Muir Beach engagement session, and it continued throughout their wedding weekend. These two went to great lengths to honor their family members. They gave the highest title of the bridal party, Best Man & Maid of Honor, to Lane’s sister and Richard’s brother. They honored their pup with a custom watercolor of him on the cocktail napkins!

Lane & Richard, thank you so much for including us in your wedding! Wayne and I loved spending the weekend capturing your wedding story. Thank you for allowing us to be a part of such a beautiful day. Congratulations! We wish you both the best in your marriage and a lifetime together.
