HI, FRIEND!

PALMA CEIA COUNTRY CLUB WEDDING | Raleigh Wedding Photographer

Jul 20, 2022

These Texan transplants kicked off their wedding weekend by honoring their life in Austin and their hometown Tampa by providing their guests with a taste of both the cities they love. A custom cookie in the shape of Florida, with a heart placed on their hometown, celebrated their roots in Tampa. A recipe and ingredients for Ranch Water honored the new life they are building together in Austin.

On the morning of her wedding, Cameron got ready in her childhood home. As the sun rose, the girls quietly sipped on mimosas and chatted during their makeup appointments. By the end of the morning, empty champagne glasses could be seen and voices belting Kelly Clarkson karaoke filled the space. Once the singing and dancing settled, the common area space transformed as the lights dimmed, and everyone scattered to bedrooms to get dressed. Cameron was helped into her dress by the most important women in her life – her mother and sister.

The bridesmaid’s reveal was on the steps of her parent’s home. Not only did we experience the bridesmaids reacting to the full look, but we also got to watch the excitement of the children sneaking a peek through the park fence across the street. It was the cutest moment and probably my favorite memory from this day.

The bride and groom exchanged private vows before the ceremony. They chose not to have a first look, but instead they stood back to back, sharing their vows to each other through tears. Cameron told me this was her favorite moment of her wedding day. I got emotional as I was editing these images, as I watched (again) Connor get emotional as he held his future wife and spoke his vows to her. It was a sweet and tender moment.

This Palma Ceia wedding was on the cusp of summer and bursting with joy and life. This venue was so perfect for Cameron and Connor’s Florida wedding reception. As the sunset over the green, the party to celebrate the newlyweds ramped up. The food was delicious, the drinks were flowing, and they cut the cutest cake to celebrate their marriage (a yeti cooler cake with a fish on ice)! Their family and friends danced the night away…my favorite was when the with light-up cowboy hats came out. Go Texas! Everything about this day was beautiful and fit their personalities perfectly. It truly was the BEST day for them (and me)! Congrats to Mr. & Mrs. Welsh! Love you guys!
