HI, FRIEND!

Rosella & Sean | Vizcaya Wedding Photographer

Rosella & Sean were the winners of our engagement session giveaway in 2019.  Since our 2020 giveaway is currently happening, we thought that it was v appropriate to share this session with you. These two live in so they flew down to Florida for this Vizcaya Museum and Gardens engagement session. Being that Vizcaya is a modern interpretation of an 18th-century Italian villa, it was the perfect backdrop for their engagement session since Rossella is Italian! These two are getting married in Italy this summer! I couldn’t think of a better location to capture their love.

At the beginning of our session, they both mentioned how “awkward” they are in front of the camera…as you look through these images you will see that this couldn’t be FURTHER from the truth. My job was incredibly easy as Sean kept her giggling throughout the entire session.  We walked around to all the different shooting locations (if you’ve been to Vizcaya then you know there are TOO MANY yummy places to shoot at). There was a moment where I almost lost it. I walked around a corner and right in the middle of the walkway was a large, vibrant lizard. (this is a normal sight to see at Vizcaya) Anyone who knows me knows that I am incredibly afraid of lizards. I had to practice so much self-control as I attempted not to let my fear get the best of me!

These two met in fifth grade! Rossella told us “He was the cute little red-head that was by far the most athletic in our 5th grade-class and he would always aim for me during dodgeball. Fast forward 8 years – we went to separate high schools but soon became close friends in college after finding out my long lost St. Joan of Arc classmate was roommates with my boyfriend at the time. When things didn’t work out between my then-boyfriend and me, the spark between Sean and I grew and the rest is history.”

Isn’t that the sweetest!?!  Well, enough about their story, as these photos communicate the love and joy that is shared between these two.
