Being a photographer has many perks, like somehow getting an all-access pass to the biggest moments of my friend’s lives! I was introduced to Cristine & Jesse through my Greenhouse microchurch. Cristine and I quickly bonded over our mutual love for the Lord. While we spent Tuesday nights studying the Bible together, Bachelor/Bachelorette Monday nights became a thing (I know, I know!)!
We shot their dreamy Engagement Session and it made the anticipation even greater for the wedding day! All the heart eye for that field and yummy light! I loved getting to play a part in their Clark Plantation wedding day.
One of my favorite moments from this wedding was meeting the ring bearer. You guys, this boy is REAL cute (and he knows it)! During the wedding processional, he carried a precious sign that read “cleared for take off.” As soon as he arrived at the altar, Jesse handed him a large bag of gummy bears as his reward. Do NOT miss the image of his excitement as he walked away with his bag of goodies! He had the whole crowd laughing. He completely stole the show and no-one was mad about it.
As a photographer, I always appreciate the first look, not just for the extra pictures, but because it allows a couple to have a more relaxed and unrushed timeline, while also having a private moment to interact after they see each other. A lot of people are under the impression that having a first look will take away from that moment during the ceremony when the bride walks down the aisle. This is just NOT TRUE! Jesse is proof of this. He was completely undone as Cristine approached him at the altar. My heart!
Congrats Cristine & Jesse! Love you guys!
These two exchanged love letters during their wedding day. Jesse works as a pilot, so he chose to surprise his bride by delivering a love letter to her by drone.
It was unique and so sweet! Le Sigh!
What was your favorite moment of your wedding day? We both agree on this, hands down our FIRST LOOK! It was just so sweet and after that it was like nothing else mattered. It could rain, thunder, you name it and everything would still be ok in our world. We were just filled with so much joy and peace after the first look. Another fun moment was towards the end of the reception when I (Cristine) decided it would be a fun idea to grab the mic during the final song of our night. As “Don’t stop believing” by Journey came through the speakers, all the guests gathered in a circle around Jesse and I as we performed this song for all of our friends and family! We will remember that moment forever!
So excited for those gummy bears!
What advice would you give to couples planning their day? Build your vendors INTENTIONALLY! Meet with them, make sure you both have the same vision and goals for the day and build a relationship with them! Also, just remember that it’s all details. Everything will come together. The more you decide to stress, the less fun you’ll have. Go with the flow because something will go wrong, and you won’t have control over anything but keeping a positive outlook and choose to enjoy every moment of the day! Every hour of our wedding day, I intentional paused to take a mental polaroid shot in my head and look for the beauty of that moment!
