There’s something so special about photographing a newborn in their first home, especially when there’s a furry big sibling ready to steal the spotlight too. This cozy at-home newborn session in Gainesville was full of tender moments, natural light, and a few playful cameos from the family dog who couldn’t help but get in on the snuggles.

Baby Eloise was just a few weeks old when we had this sweet Gainesville family session. The morning light streamed softly through the window, wrapping everything in a calm, golden glow. We kept the session relaxed and baby-led, with gentle swaddles and plenty of time for feeding and comforting breaks.

One of my favorite things about this newborn session? The way the family pup made occasional appearances, sometimes literally jumping in the shot. I always encourage families to include their pets.
