HI, FRIEND!

A Blacktie Pelican Club Wedding | Jupiter Wedding Photographer

Mar 25, 2022

Kristie & Dave’s wedding meant so much to us! This winter wedding weekend kicked off with a beautiful welcome party and dinner for their friends and family. I was immediately invited as a family friend. I hugged family members, cried at the toasts, and was invited to the next family wedding! I came in as a stranger and left as part of the family.

On the wedding day, our bride and her girls got ready for the wedding in downtown Jupiter on a warm and sunny December day. The bridesmaids wore matching dresses and walked the Palm tree-lined streets laughing and toasting their bride. They arrived back at the Pelican Club, and Kristie slipped into her Eddy K Bridal gown and the prettiest pearl-studded platform heels. The heels coordinated perfectly with her clutch and the sea theme of the day. The intricate floral appliques on her silhouette matched the stunning bouquet she carried designed by Creative Florals.

Kristie & Dave borrowed inspiration from the lighthouse behind the venue for the invitation suite. The couple paid homage to the soft sea colors in the bouquets and bridesmaid dresses. Kristie’s bridesmaids looked stunning next to her in their assorted tones of blue and green and a mix of patterns and styles. Dave and his groomsmen looked quite handsome in their navy tuxes. There was a deep value for honoring family members throughout the day.

A vast array of emotions flowed as Kristie shared a look with her dad, bridesmaids, and then her groom. It is so special to witness these sweet moments between each group.

After their vows were exchanged, the party kicked off with the newlyweds sharing their first dance surrounded by friends and family. Toasts were shared, meals were enjoyed as the sun dipped behind the palm trees. Later in the evening, Kristie changed into a flirty silk gown. It was the perfect dress to dance the night away. This wedding day was a fantastic celebration honoring a beautiful, fun-loving couple.

Kristie & Dave (and family!), your wedding day marked us in the best way. Thank you for making everyone around you feel like the most important person in the room. I cannot wait for the reunion in New York for the next family wedding!  We were honored to capture your story.
