Winter Pelican Club Wedding | Palm Beach Wedding Photographer

Sarah and Will had to reschedule their wedding a short eighteen days before it was supposed to take place when the pandemic shut down the world last year. After rescheduling two more times, they decided to move their entire wedding to Florida, since Sarah’s parents had relocated here. These two, and the fabulous team of Em Devaud Events, worked very hard to change the wedding plans from a New York to a Florida celebration.

These two hosted a classic Florida winter wedding at the Pelican Club in Jupiter, Florida. Sarah looked stunning in an off-the-shoulder Monique Lhuillier dress. My favorite part was the back! The sleeves crossed at the back and were knotted almost like a bow. It was so classy and matched perfectly with her elegant and timeless bun…styled by her mother who has been her hairdresser for years. Will wore his white Navy uniform, the perfect statement piece to her classic dress.

One of the sweetest moments from this day was the way this family honored Sarah’s sister. Sarah’s sister passed away when Sarah was younger, so Sarah had a beautiful pendant made for her bouquet to honor her sister all day. At sunset, we stood in the courtyard of the Pelican Club and the family remembered her through the release of butterflies. One even landed on Sarah’s train before flying away. It was an emotional, but joyful moment between the families and friends. I loved watching Sarah’s mother smiling at Sarah as butterflies gravitated to her dress.

This reception was probably one of the most lively receptions I’ve documented. The guests were guided to the reception space as we waited for the bride and groom to join us. From the very beginning, the dance floor was packed and super hyped. This was the first time I’ve seen guests on the dance floor before the couple was introduced into the reception. One particular guest enjoyed his drink from his shoe! These people came to CELEBRATE the fact that these two were FINALLY getting married.
