These two, surrounded by a small handful of family & friends, whispered promises of forever under the infamous banyan trees at Birch State Park.

Jenna with BAUGhaus designed this day exquisitely. She created elements that were inspired by modern, neutral and re-useable pieces. The bride (who became her sister in law this day) is very passionate about zero waste living. With this in mind, Jenna opted for dried palms & Spanish moss that she found while wandering around her neighborhood. She used florals in the installation  that would have normally been trashed because they had already dried out. She wanted to create a ceremony space that would stand out against the natural surrounding of the space park but would also feel like it belonged there. She even surprised the couple by creating the ceremony installation piece, sweetheart table, and a few other little pieces for the day.

From Jenna: “I know that elopement do not always get the same details as full wedding days. But I wanted to give these two some of the details you would normally see at a wedding. I kept the design simple and set up an intimate two seater tabletop under the trees. Some of the pieces on the table were dried blooms, hand dyed cheesecloth napkins, modern dishes and some neutral plants.”

My favorite moment from their day was during the ceremony when David placed his hand on Aj’s stomach during a prayer. You’ll see as you scroll through, but they are expecting a little one. As the pastor prayed over the couple, David whispered his own prayers over Aj  & their little one. It was so sweet to see him include that precious little one in that moment of their day. You better believe I was a crying as a witness this sweet and intimate moment take place. (Lets blame my own pregnancy for that public display of emotion!)
