Sarah & Jordan wanted their Fall wedding to be an environment that built community among their friends and families in a relaxed environment. Because of this, they intentionally involved many family members and friends into the planning and set up for their day. They even chose their venue because it felt like “home.” They loved that the venue felt a bit like a big gathering in their own back yard.
The entire wedding day was a beautiful breeze. I’m pretty sure Sarah & Jordan were the most tranquil and relaxed couple I’ve ever worked with. Very much collected. We were even AHEAD of schedule. This almost never happens on a wedding day. What a treat!
Hands down my favorite moment of the day happened when Sarah and her bridesmaids were taking pictures on the driveway of the venue and the father of the bride unexpectedly comes driving down the road we were on. The bridesmaids quickly ran over to hide the bride from her dad while I presented the idea of doing a first look with his daughter. He agreed, much to my delight. (I love a Daddy-Daughter first look) I led him (eyes closed) over to meet his little girl in between those beautiful fall leaves. He looked at her with such admiration and delight. I totally shed a couple of tears.
