Erika & KC met each other and got engaged while finishing up school at the University of Florida and I met them when they joined our microchurch at Greenhouse Church. Man, this group has added so many rich relationships to my life. Outside of Tuesdays, we would spent our time together having morning dates over a cup of Cuban coffee or having Catan game nights.

These two got married in this beautiful place. While they were engaged, it didn’t take a lot for KC to convince his Florida-native bride where they should say their vows.  You’ll understand once you scroll through their photos! This was my first trip out to the lake and I’m already planning a return next summer with Wayne. Growing up 30 minutes away from Lake Tahoe, KC would spend weekends and summers here in his family’s cabin. They decided that it was the perfect location for their wedding day. Their wedding happened to take place right after a huge snowfall, so they got to have the most stunning winter wonderland as a backdrop.

Before we took these portraits, Erika and I drove around the lake, windows down blasting Phil Wickham’s “Song in my Soul.” That did something to me. Everything about this trip was so refreshing. Even photographing them was a breath of fresh air (literally, though. That lake air is goooood). Thankful for the quality time with and without the camera.
