HI, FRIEND!

jack + monica | west palm beach wedding photographer

Aug 31, 2015

Our job doesn’t feel like a job, but more like a gift, really. It’s a gift to build relationships with our clients and actually hang out together after their weddings are over. It’s a gift to be with them on their wedding day and literally be with them the entire time. It’s a gift to watch their first moments as husband and wife privately as we take portraits. …and most of all, it’s a gift to watch the Lord’s hands in the love stories He creates. We are blessed to be witnesses and to capture it all. Jack and Monica’s wedding was just that. A gift. For everyone who experienced it.

Monica and Jack’s wedding couldn’t have been more perfectly them. Their wedding was super detailed and very much out of this world! They danced and laughed and celebrated under market lights at the Vintage Gymnasium in Delray Beach. The reception details included gorgeous (and different) flower arrangements for each table. I love, love, loved the invitation suite, the flower crown, the confetti thrown after the ceremony, the ice cream truck in lieu of a wedding cake. Those were just some of the unique details of the day. My favorite though, without a doubt, was Monica’s something borrowed. Her sister’s wedding dress. Monica wore the dress her sister wore down the aisle! I mean, c’mon! Be still my heart! She added a couple of details to make it her own, but goodness how special is that!?

Anyway, I will leave you with the darling images that tell their wedding story. Jack and Monica, thank you for this gift.

Killer shoutout to these vendors who with us as a team to serve these two!

I love how Monica stops what she is doing and just smiles and stares at her momma (below). Just so sweet.

Throughout the wedding, there were so many dear moments between Monica and her nieces. I love how they watch Monica. So precious. So, so precious!

THE DETAILS! This Bride is also a very talented graphic designer. She designed all of her paper products. ALL.

Monica’s makeup artist was also her cousin/bridesmaid. She finished her makeup and then things really set in.

THIS! People, this.

This was something to witness. Her sister, Jessica, grabbing her own wedding gown to dress her sister in. My heart!

Check out these blooms!

Quick selfie before Wayne takes their portraits.

The policeman wanted a selfie!

One thousand times…YES!

I’d like to give a shout out to the best sister around. She was a guest at the wedding and it was so special to even share a dance with her at the reception. During bride and groom portraits, Wayne was inside taking details of the reception. We were transitioning into portraits without her veil and (being that it was cathedral), I needed some assistance. Ivy, thanks for lending an extra hand, or two, and a place to hold the veil. Love you! You are THE best.
