I met Macy & Andrew during our mini sessions last Fall. They heard about our minis and traveled from Jacksonville for their first professional session as a couple!
At the beginning of this year, Macy reached back out to me after Andrew proposed. We set plans for their engagement session…then COVID hit and our plans got rescheduled. We rescheduled, and then rescheduled AGAIN. After so much coordination, we scheduled them FIRST THING after restrictions were lifted in Gainesville.
Throughout the process, both Macy & Andrew were flexible and full of grace as we navigated confusion, changed plans, and city closures. Their care-free attitude was reflected in the morning of their engagement session when the Florida heat broke records with its humidity level. They were such good sports, they even toasted each other with champagne during their session! I think we were all very relieved for the session to finally be taking place. Their attitude during the shoot was overall gratitude.
While their session wasn’t the timing we had originally planned for, it ended up being perfect because the angel trumpets were in full bloom! I have held sessions at Kanapaha Botanical Gardens so many times throughout the years and I’ve never made it to see them! What a reminder that having plans is great, but learning to be flexible when plans change is really important. It made their session feel like it was 100% worth the delays!
