2017.
Each new year propels us into a rush of excitement, expectation, freshness and ultimately newness. It also invites a time to review and remember the moments, gifts, lessons and wins from the previous year. I’m sitting here in my office looking through the images, sessions and stories that I was blessed to be able to document this past year. I’m ever thankful for everything that 2017 brought our way. Every client who trusted us to tell their story. Every undeserved grace. Every new friendship that bloomed. Every dream that the Lord saw to fruition. Every lesson or hardship that caused us to lean more fully on Christ and what He has done. We are so grateful. Here are a few notable moments, that made 2017 a year to remember:
- The Lord provided in fulfilling a long-time dream of mine to shoot film. I purchased my Contax camera and began incorporating film into our weddings and engagements. Film has reignited and deepened my love for telling stories. Also, it has slowed me down and helped me become even more intentional and thoughtful with every shot. Thank You, Lord for this refreshing gift of film!
- One of my all time favorite weddings, Nikki & Zach, was featured in PRINT with my friends at The Knot!
- We added another member to the Molliner Photography team [you’ll be hearing more about her soon and her role on our team]. This was an investment in our time. Time to grow in this skill and time for our clients. Adding this team member, allowed me to focus more on shooting, editing and developing client relationships. It has also allowed us to invest in our personal lives, it brought freedom and better boundaries with work hours. Ultimately, it was all an investment towards the work we produce, enabling us to serve our clients with our very best. After seven years in this business, I have invested in myself. I can honestly say that 2017 was my favorite because of it.
Here are some of our favorite moments from this past year.
Thank You, Father for giving me new life this past year. Thank You.
