These two high school sweethearts began their wedding day meeting each other between the trees. Nicole wore a stunning and whimsical YolanCris wedding gown that trailed behind as she approached Zachary during their first look. They weren’t even considering a first look in the beginning stages of their wedding planning, but with the setting sun happening soon after their wedding, natural-lit portraits were becoming less of an option. I think it may have been the week of the wedding when they decided to go all in, fully trusting in the romance and experience of a first look. And man, was it striking. You guys, it felt like a movie scene unfolding in slow motion in front of us. Top three first looks that I’ve photographed.

As I put together the images for this blogpost, I found myself crying. For real! Tears pouring down my face… as I relived the moments this groom first saw this bride. Oh, I just adored the magic of that moment. The magic behind a look of love that is built through the years, growing stronger through the tending and the pruning and continued commitment to choose to stand next to one another through the seasons that life brings along. Sigh. 

After their first look, they had the most gorgeous Casa Feliz Wedding in Winter Park, Florida. Vows were recited under an old oak tree at the site. Their ceremony had overflowing greenery and oversized balloons as a unique, romantic element. Guests shared dinner under a clear tent and market lights. The modern farmhouse tables were a perfect blend to reflect the juxtaposition of the venue’s Spanish farmhouse architecture with the modern fashion style of the bridal party. So, so, good!
