Happy New Year! 2015! We are one week into the new year and I couldn’t be more excited for the things to come. We had such a sweet holiday season full of family, rest and lots of comfort foods. It was so wonderful to get away to make memories of our own and take some time to reflect on the Lord’s blessings in the year 2014. Even the hard moments were redeemed by the moments of beautiful grace. The biggest lesson I learned last year was how precious our time here on earth is and to really be intentional about personal time. Last year made us really appreciate the time we spend and how we spend it.

I love doing this “favorite moments” post, because it helps me to stop and remember. 2014 was so, so good. We have officially bought all of our equipment (PRAISE JESUS, no more renting). It brought us a 6-page feature in a magazine and our first online feature (you can see it here: Floridian Weddings). The year took us on an adventure to shoot a wedding on a cruise and a wedding in Austin, Texas. It brought us many coffee dates with awesome couples and more and more fantastic stories to tell. I am deeply grateful for such incredible, incredible clients that shower us with their kind friendship and choose us to follow them around with our cameras. Building on these relationships and being a witness to these rich stories really fills me. Each and every wedding story has had such a strong pull at my heart strings. I have cried, celebrated, laughed and danced with each one of you. I am forever honored to witness and be a part of it all. I love you all.

On another note, I’d like to give a shout-out to my hottie second shooter and favorite human, Wayne. Man, I am so blessed to go through life with this guy. Wayne is so passionate about loving me well. We drove many, many miles last year for all of these weddings and he sits there patiently as I play through every single Taylor swift song on the radio (and now CD). His support and encouragement really points me to the real reason I do this. Wayne, your talent and service to our couples (and me) astounds me. I’m the luckiest girl. I fall more in love with you with each wedding that we share. Thank you for always running to get me water, stealing kisses when no one is watching, hanging out with the Groomsmen, fixing bowties/ties/boutonnieres/veils/dresses, capturing a different take on the story and just for being you.

Below are just some of our favorite moments of 2014. Sorry I am not sorry about the length! We had a lot of wonderful moments and we are just so thankful! Here’s to the best year yet… through Him, with Him and for Him.
